IT'S A NAKED MAN'S WORLD.

I have complained about this for a while now and I will continue to complain, simple as that.
Us blokes need more options. Options in the form of clothes stores.

While Brisbane's Fashion scene continues to evolve (for women), us men are left a little empty handed. Now I understand that Brisbane is'nt ready to open an ASSIN, $5000 leather Rick Owens jackets just seem a tad southern for most QLD MEN, but I do think that there are ample fashion-HIS-ta's to buy up big when it comes to fine tailoring and design.

Yes, David Jones does stock some of the higher end labels both from Oz and Overseas, but what's happend to the full scale men's store? We are bored with the Ralph Lauren concept, we are over the eurotrash-esque of Xile and we are bored by the fact that we have to enter a department store to source our winter wardorbe.

Blonde Venus has always stocked a unique blend of menswear that you don't see here, as soon as it arrives, it vanishes, same goes for Fallow......and good for them. But what about the rest of us. Hugo Boss, sure, they sell well-made suits and casual attire, but hey, sometimes it's nice to wear something with colour, and I'm NOT talking Ed Hardy either!

I hope with the renovations taking place in the Wintergarden that Management are smart enough to get more menswear labels to sign on the dotted line, the centre itself has looked like a haggard prostitute clammering for customers for years, so finger crossed, they give us something to rival QueensPlaza (although, QP is'nt what I'd call a Shoppers Paradise).

Calibre, Arthur Galan and Farage would be ideal, for now. International labels like Ferragamo, Burberry and Armani would be ok as well. Hell, even the doors to Emporio Armani open in Perth this year!!

Another idea is a Men's Emporium, similar to Jean Brown Robe/Gallery or Belinda. Assin in Sydney and Melbourne stock labels like Dior Homme, Ann Demeulemeester, Viktor & Rolf as well as Martin Margiela. Now, I know there are Men out their who appreciate these names and would purchase them, I just don't know how many. Belinda Menswear in Sydney sadly closed down, and they stocked some of the best clothes I'd seen in Australia for men. Assin are doing well, so obviously things change. Only time will tell.

So anyway, for the BIG money people reading this, see what you can do. There are men of all ages in Brisbane who love fashion and wear it well. And on behalf of them all......Bring on the Clothes.

PS. We also need Shoes! I can't keep going to Bally!
